Pointing people to Christ
Hemlington Baptist Church is situated on the south western outskirts of Middlesbrough and we have been part of the Hemlington community since 1977. Our church building was originally sited in Middlesbrough town centre but due to major redevelopment we moved to what was then a new housing estate project. Hemlington has a population of approximately 6,500 residents and our church is made up of both local families as well as people from other parts of the town (and even further afield!).
Some people tend to think of mission as Christian work in some far off country but these days mission can be anywhere in the world, including the UK.
Here at HBC we support a number of different missions, some UK based and others covering many parts of the world. We believe it is scriptural to support people involved in Christian service, so part of our giving will always be towards helping others.
